Cejar Lagoon, Tebenquiche Lagoon and “Ojos del Salar” (Eyes of the Salt Flat) ~ Full Day

The tour to Laguna Cejar, located in the Atacama Salt Flat, offers the opportunity to float in its hypersaline waters, similar to those of the Dead Sea, surrounded by a stunning desert landscape. The experience is complemented by a visit to other nearby lagoons, where you can enjoy panoramic views and the beautiful sunset over the Atacama Desert.

Itinerary

Our tour to Laguna Cejar begins at your hotel, and in about 30 minutes we will arrive at Laguna Cejar, located in the northern part of the Atacama Salt Flat basin. In this complex, we will visit three different lagoons, and we will have the opportunity to bathe in one of them and feel the unique sensation of floating in these extremely salty waters, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Right after, we will have a freshwater shower to remove the salt from our bodies. We will then return to the vehicle, and in approximately 15 minutes, we will arrive at our next destination.

We will also visit the Tebenquiche Lagoon, with its colors that will surely captivate you, and witness a very rare and interesting phenomenon that can only be seen in a few places in the world, during a short walk around Tebenquiche Lagoon.

Our next stop will be the Ojos del Salar, where we will see these surprising craters. For this activity, it is very important to bring a swimsuit, a change of clothes, and a towel. During the activity, we will enjoy a delicious snack with pisco sour and juices, returning to San Pedro shortly after.
